The Real CSI: A Forensics Handbook for Crime Writers

I purchased this book to help me develop my crime writing for a forensics point of view.  I was extremely impressed with the book from start to finish. Kate covers a wide range of topics that will help any budding writer such as trace evidence, DNA and blood spatter to name a few examples. Kate’s writing style is also witty and easy to follow, something you don’t see all that often in a book of this kind.

The real-life case studies make the processes easy to understand and the books are not bogged down with jargon, and this makes it a really enjoyable read. I’d recommend this book even if you’re not a crime writer as it’s an informative handbook suited to anyone with an interest in forensics.

I’m looking forward to reading more from Kate.  Kate Bendelow
